I'm sick at home, doing flips and shit
Sep. 3rd, 2011 11:24 pmI lied, no posts, still laid low by cold. Managed to survive yesterday's shift by counting pills and filling vials for 9 1/2 hours instead of interacting with patients, and was bolstered by the lentil samosas in pili-pili sauce that Pixie and Angie brought 'round to work on my behalf, because they are solid bros. The lentils were nourishing and the pili-pili sauce temporarily cleared the airways and frightened my coworkers with its capsaicin.
Tomorrow I'm back at work and I agreed to stay late to make compliance calls becauseonly suckers rest when they're sick if it doesn't get done tomorrow it'll just create a domino effect of more work for everyone later in the week.
Today was head-explody and violent coughing (why at the same time?) so I was mostly unconscious or trying to be, though I did get my passport card, which is my first passport ANYTHING because the farthest from the U.S. I've traveled was Mexico, pre-9/11. It doesn't get me as far as a passport book, but it's significantly cheaper, it works for my purposes, and it's apparently good for travel by land or by sea.
Other than that the day was mostly about this video that Angie sent me via email a while back.
And then she linked it and it was everything I dreamed it would be and more. And now I can say with certainty that yes, the original series WAS this ridiculous. AND THIS VIDEO ACTUALLY MADE ME LIKE A KESHA SONG. And it inspired Angie to want to watch Star Trek: TOS which delights my heart, but there isn't a Blockbuster within 100 miles that has the series so I'll have to get with the future on Netflix or something.

Angie: You might have to ignore that it's Ke$ha singing but... I just about died at this fanvid. Original Star Trek.
... Was this show really this delightfully ridiculous? <3
Z: THERE IS NO ACTUAL LINK! GIMME LINK. Though I can already answer with 99% certainty that yes, it was.
