Just the one.

Well, there are others, but they are infidels who will die by my mighty fist, or perhaps I'll just make faces at them. At any rate, I have interview answers! You see, I was waiting for all and sundry to FORGET about them, and... well, no. I had no such nefarious plans. I never have plans, let alone nefarious ones.

Anyway, interview meme, and so forth, you can still request questions if you want some, much Pez to [livejournal.com profile] nobara and [livejournal.com profile] skyfrog for their questions, respectively. <3 It's heart-shaped Pez.

First the Daves... )

...and then the Hakkais. )

I'm sorry, there's actually NO Batsodomy in this post.

School started yesterday. It is so far less painful than I expected it to be. This might be because my math class is now at 11 instead of 7 ANTE meridian.

Besides math and the thrice-be-damned English class that doesn't start up until October, I'm taking two other classes to cover some humanities credits: Cultural Diversity in the Media, and Introduction to Christianity. I cannot for the life of me remember why I chose these classes.

The best part is that the teacher of the media class works at a comic book shop and rolls a 30-sided die to assign students to groups, and the teacher of the Christianity class is a Buddhist.

I have been laughing in my head all day.

That concludes this HOLY IMPORTANT UPDATE OF Z'S LIFE. Moving on, we have instead HOLY IMPORTANT ALYSA QUESTIONS. <3

Roshambo and decapitation, all in one interview. )

Step 1: Open your MP3 player.
Step 2: Put all of your music on random.
Step 3: Write down the first fifteen fifty songs it plays, no matter how embarrassing.

With commentary, because I like the cut of [livejournal.com profile] neherenia's jib!

1. Eve 6 - Think Twice Despite my utter lack of relationship woes, due in no small part to my utter lack of relationships, I love this song. It's so good, it makes me want to HAVE relationship woes, so that I can sit and stew in my anger while listening to this song. It also reminds me of Juri and Shiori from Shoujo Kakumei Utena, which works so well as a segueway...
2. Kamiya Maki - VIRTUAL STAR hasseigaku Why was this the second ED when it clearly would've been the COOLEST DUEL THEME ever? In 9th grade, I think, I had the lyrics to this song along with some embryonic Utena figure I drew on the front of one of my folders. Painful memories of [livejournal.com profile] mko and I trying to sing the high parts in Spanish class go here.
3. Rubyhorse - Any Day Now A *beautiful* song that I never once heard on the radio. The only place I ever heard it was in Albertson's, when I worked there about a year ago.
4. Dirty Vegas - Days Go By (Full Vocal Mix) I LOVED the video to this song. Dancing car girl, not so much.
5. Pérotin - Notre Dame Organum (Alleluia) Because "Medieval quadruple organum" is about the most intelligent musically-related thing I'll ever be able to say or explain.
6. Joe Pleiman - Zelda You know that "When Link saves the day HALLELUJAH" song that everyone thinks was done by System of a Down? Nope. Joe Pleiman.
7. Umm... unknown. Okay, I found this song after doing a "Lothlorien" search on Kazaa back in the day, but I have no idea what the artist or title is. It's really quite lovely, though.
8. Dave Matthews Band - Crush The best part of this song is definitely the chorus. It makes me want to ballroom dance. "crazy / thinking / just knowing that the world is round / and here I'm dancing on the ground / am I right-side up or upside down? / and is this real or am I dreaming?"
9. Utada Hikaru - hikari -PLANITb Remix (short version) I really like this song, but I think I might actually like the English version better. Yes, yes, that goes against all my crazed otaku principles, but there ye go.
10. Rainbow Butt Monkeys - Circles I love the guitars in this one. Thank you, [livejournal.com profile] liich! <3 <3 <3
11. The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony Isn't it funny that there was a band called "The Verve" and a band called "The Verve Pipe" out at the exact same time, and then we never heard from either of them again? Funny.
12. Homestar Runner - CGNU Fightsong And The Cheat will hit stuff with a golf club! See! Gee! In! ...You. "Me?"
13. Yamane Mai - Blue I cry at the end of Cowboy Bebop EVERY TIME and I blame it largely on this song. And the star that disappears from the sky. And the "You're gonna carry that weight" at the end. And the song lyrics with their "everything is clearer now / life is just a dream you know / that's never ending / I'm ascending" Damn you, Cowboy Bebop!
14. They Might Be Giants - Boss of Me (live version) Did you know that the flash of anime they show in the original opening sequence for "Malcolm in the Middle" is from Nazca? It is. Trivia, yay.
15. Tenacious D - Wonderboy How about the power to kill a yak, from 200 yards away... WITH MIND BULLETS??? (that's telekinesis, Kyle)
The rest are cut out of concern for your friends page aesthetics. )

First, a horrendously stupid quiz that I wouldn't even post the results to, except that I want to let [livejournal.com profile] mko know that she is TOTALLY GAY AND LIKES POODLE SKIRTS OMG when she gets her internet back.

So stupid... )

And now, interview questions from my favorite Gabadingo. They were tres cool. <3 <3

Waxing annoying on Pez, Ivona, and a rant on Johnny the Homicidal Maniac fans. )

Okay, I got back from a two hour drive from Tucson a couple of hours ago, where I harassed Meghan for about twenty-four hours. While there, I learned that one has only to sit on a white Bengal tiger to get strangers to open up and start talking. I refuse to elaborate at this point. Instead: that interview meme that went around before and I never participated in. I participate now, and verily, it is my bitch.

Rules:
1) Leave a comment, saying you want to be interviewed.
2) I will respond; I'll ask you five questions.
3) You'll update your journal with my five questions, and your five answers.
4) You'll include this explanation.
5) You'll ask other people five questions when they want to be interviewed.

I haven't done a survey in ages, so I've decided to complete one in typical Z fashion. That is: make fun of the survey I spent an hour taking, honestly answer only 5% of the questions, answer the rest with completely off-topic information or comments that are meant to be amusing but aren't, accomplish nothing.

Here, I'll get you started.

Unique - I have one of 18,000 black shirts that read 'You laugh because I'm different. I laugh because you're all the same.' No, NO, I'M LYING. I don't have that shirt! I was pointing out the irony!! )

Yes, I am sore. That's what I get for, uh, running. Anyhoo, name meme!

Me llamo Miguel. )

1) Portland, Oregon (home of Forest Park... which sounds like a location in Elfland, but... 5 inches of snow? Jesus, dude...)
2) Eugene, Oregon (another in Oregon?)
3) Las Vegas, Nevada (oh yeah, baby! YEAH!)
4) Alexandria, Louisiana (points just for the name, more points based on the single inch of snow)
5) San Bernardino, California (no snow, in California... Z likes...)
6) Baltimore, Maryland (good: Otakon, lies east of the Mississippi like most my online comrades, bad: 18 friggin inches of snow... we don't get 18 inches of RAIN in Phoenix)
7) Corvallis, Oregon (this place has a festival dedicated to da Vinci! ROCK!)
8) Salem, Oregon (someone really wants me in Oregon)
9) Charleston, West Virginia (26... inches... of... snow...??)
10) Albuquerque, New Mexico (sweet! that place is like Phoenix, but with less smog!)

Extras...

Phoenix is the 6th largest city in the U.S.? Since when?

Little Rock was number 12. (???) Honolulu was 15. (!!!)

Coolest city name EVAR goes to #21: Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.

...and I got a shitload of more cities in Oregon.

This is a tribute to the greatest survey in the world. Or mayhaps it's just something I stole from [livejournal.com profile] nobara the great. I'll leave it for you to decide.

Once every hundred-thousand years or so... )
