jesuitfluff and I have sort of worked out that Qing Jao thinks Agni is the bee's knees (and also hot). Why? 1) Because it's hilarious, and we love things that are hilarious, and 2) as Meej said, "how often is the main villain a boy who has the hots for one of the main chicks? (Answer: almost every shoujo anime villain.)" WE ARE TURNING THAT TROPE ON ITS HEAD AND ALSO MAKING IT GENDER CONFUSED.

The prompt:

First Fang and Binshou best buds, and then last night I had a dream that Agni and Qing Jao were hanging out in a non-dead-people garden and she was willfully misinterpreting everything he said as totally in line with The Tao as read by Qing Jao. <3

I thought it was going to be hard to write (because: Qing Jao) until I actually sat down to write it.

So we lost some players at the beginning of the year/new semester, including my priestess, and I NEED A NEW ONE.

Assuming you missed me ramble on about Three Wishes previously, it is a forum RP based on the Fushigi Yuugi universe with a steampunk/transitional society sort of theme to it. You don't actually need to know anything about Fushigi Yuugi to play it, though. Several of the current players have never even seen it.

The priestess is a girl who summons the god Byakko, and is protected by seven avatars, one of which is played by ME: Agnikam Vasumdhara, aka Kokie. There are four nations in the game, and Byakko is the god of the nation known as Sairou, which is basically imaginary Bollywood and therefore super awesome.

The game is a bit slow right now because of the players we lost, but the GM

caltan is fantastic and tenacious as all hell. You can be sure that this is a game that isn't just going to sit idle for too long or just randomly shut down, so you don't have to worry about creating a character all for nothing.

So I just RPed in a MUSH for the first time ever.

And I didn't explode.

On a note related to THAT note, I'm getting back into Fushigi Yuugi again. This time it's through the manga that I've had lying around forever but never read. It's very similar to the anime, but I actually like it a little better. The differences are few and subtle, like an extra line here and there, but they add to the story in their own way. Or maybe it's simply been so long since I've seen the show that I'm imagining things.

Also: I realize that I LIKE Miaka. Before it was a matter of indifference that grew into fondness, especially as she matured towards the end of the series, but here I am at the beginning of the series and I like her a lot. She's just so damned adorable, plus she's funny and she's got a great personality. Where, then, does all the Miaka hate come from? WHERE? (Scowl Village, in the nation of Angertania?)
