OH how she <3's it. That's right, I finished it! NOW I CAN HAVE MY LIFE BACK! Though I will gladly dive into the murky depths of video game obsession again if/when the sequel comes out.

And now, an in-depth psychoanalysis of Z's thoughts on the game! Or something.

DISCLAIMER: I am a romantically-minded dorkwad. You've been warned.

First off, I love camaraderie themes. Particularly, friends traveling together, loosing each other or trying to find each other. I don't know why this strikes such a cord with me, but it's why I love Fushigi Yuugi. It's why even the dub still makes me misty eyed when Hotohori says, "Beyond worlds and beyond time, surely we will all meet again." It's why I wept bitter tears like a HUGE DORK at the end of Return of the King when Sam and Co. saw Frodo off to the Undying Lands. It is why I get a warm and fuzzy feeling when I watch the episode of Babylon 5 in which Delenn speaks of the Minbari belief that the souls of comrades are bound together through their many cycles of death and rebirth.

It's why I do indeed heart Kingdom Hearts. When it was revealed that the worlds would be forever separated if the darkness was sealed away, I just knew the ending would give me a lump in my throat, and it did. First Riku and Mickey remaining in Kingdom Hearts while Sora, Donald and Goofy sealed the door. Then, Sora's goodbye to Kairi. The fact that that he faces never seeing his home again (okay, so he'll probably make it back in the sequel) to stay and help his buddies. It was so very sweeeeeeeeeeet. Sigh. I loved the shot that panned out to show the long and winding road ahead of them.

I also got the secret ending, and, just... AUGH! Damn teasers. My eyes were stuck in *_* mode for an hour after.

Didn't actually beat Sephiroth. Gotta work on that. He is one bad-ass mother sister... but I found every puppy, synthesized every item, climbed every mountain! I missed two trinities, though.

Obviously I will have to go back and play it again. Later, though. Now, I just want to get reacquainted with an old friend called "Internet."

Did I mention that I particularly <3 Halloween Town? Ah well, I'm done.

On a thematically related note, [livejournal.com profile] gabi_hime and [livejournal.com profile] kayli_kender have rejoined the fold! I rejoice!

By the by, [livejournal.com profile] mko, now that my brain is slightly less fried and distracted, it's "sharpest crayon in the box" and "brightest coin in the fountain." However, I like your version best, and will from now on employ the Mko-ism, "Not exactly the sharpest coin in the box."
