A WILD Z APPEARS AND ATTACKS WITH STORY POST. Actual life update to potentially follow.

So I wrote a little genderswap ficlet starring Ari and Walker and Arianne and Willow and various combinations thereof, sort of as an experiment/attempt to see what differences I'd see in Ari and Walker if they were FAAB women (also fab women) and how that would affect their dynamic. AND HEY, I got some pretty interesting notes on it! Most of which don't reflect in these drabbles!

But I'm gonna post it anyway because 1) it's fun, 2) I've been taunting nanners with its almost-done-ness since Addie's wedding, and 3) some asshole totally trashed the Valentines Day drawings I sent Bri last year! I stuffed them in an envelope and mailed them to her, and when she got the envelope it was torn in THREE PLACES and taped back together with nothing in it! What the fuuuuuuuuuuck. I'm pretty sure derpy pictures of Ari and Walker and bongs with heart stickers aren't used as currency in either US or Canadian post offices, so why's someone gotta be a dick???

Featuring four drabble-sized parts and Arianne's genderswapped BIKE and bunny ears and Silent Hill and nothing particularly explicit. I hope it shows up because new Gdocs confounds me somewhat.

Oh fuck I ate a whole dispenser's worth of Pez while I was typing this. I need to go eat real food.

These are ridiculously adorable! You have such a talent for capturing the essence of a character in a few short words or a line or two. And I love Ari and Walker in whatever configuration they are in! <3

I just realized that Arianne probably follows Levar the Original around all day singing the theme to Reading Rainbow. Eileen may have to lock her in their apartment at some point to give him some respite (hint: distract her with ponies).

I love all of these little drabbles, seriously. <3 First off, Ari and Walker truly are all sorts of adorable. Second off, I really liked the concept of going every which way with the gender swaps, and seeing how their dynamic changed with each iteration. Third off, DID I MENTION ARI/WALKER IS ALL SORTS OF ADORABLE? BECAUSE THEY ARE. <3

Yesssssssss. Truthfully, this also started out as an attempt to prove that they are adorable in any iteration, so thank you for casting your vote for science.

I was trying to help Angie come up with a good name for male!Letitia via behindthename.com, but then Levar hit me like a bolt from the blue and it was good and right and just.

These were all beyond well-done, in-character and, more importantly, FREAKIN' ADORABLE. Like roly-poly Scottish Fold kitten adorable. You can totally follow the character traits throughout, from story to story. Both Walker and Ari are still themselves but just enough different to make it work smoothly. The cycle and the recurring themes of bikes and closets was clever to the max.

(But not Dolphin Max. He's not invited to this party of adorable.)
