So, re: subject, I was looking at the MIT graduate admissions website.

I DID NOT EVEN KNOW THAT WAS A THING.

Just reading it makes me feel tingly all over.

I need some kind of "science bros and hos" icon.

Huh. Now, if we look at quantum mechanics as relates to a collapsed star, then wouldn't a "science bros and black holes" icon be proper as well?

(I wasn't going to actually type "holes" but I didn't want to have my meaning misconstrued as a Don Imus thing instead of the intended lame science humor.)

I bet you can probably pretty much take any two subjects/things and stick them together. For example, "social ecology" or "plant linguistics."

I'd like to take a plant linguistics class. Ah, yes.

You could always take the class, and when you get your degree says you have a degree in PLASMA ASTROPHYSICS, then when people ask what that is you can explain it to them in a condescending manner.
It would be awesome.

So...I watch a lot of TV, for starters...
There's this viagra or something commercial and the spokesperson is like "It's REAL science!" and it cuts to scientists in a lab with coats and beakers and stuff and one of them gives a cheesy smile and a thumbs up...That's fun...
And then there's this episode of the Simpson's when Bart goes to this guy's house who's dressed like Hugh Hefner and he opens this door and there's a bunch of playboy bunnies working in a science lab. That's more on the 'ho's' side :)
