an important lesson

I have a large pimple on my nose. Well, it is more accurately the remains of one, as I attacked it viciously. Today at work, one of the employees who had a day off decided to come in and entertain himself. He asked, "Did you know you have a big zit on your nose?" I replied, "Yes! I grew him myself with MY OWN BACTERIA. Then I named him Blinky. I fear he might be dieing, though."

Immediately after I said it, I felt the slightest pang of sadness, because (oh dear) I'd forgotten that giving something a name is the first step in becoming attached to it.

Therefore, the lesson I have for you tonight is: never give your zits cutesy names.
